Here are some important dates for the Center this year:
Saturday, April 27th – Family Picnic, Tiffany Park, 3890 Copperfield Drive, Bryan, 9:00am until 1:00pm. (It’s not too late to sign-up! )
Monday – Friday, April 29th through May 3rd – Parent/Teacher Conferences for Butterflies through Bear Cubs
Wednesday, May 1st – Last day to collect donation items for South Africa orphanage
Thursday, May 2nd – Dolphins/Whales/Seahorses graduation rehearsal in the MSC, 9:45am – 11:45am (Transportation provided by Aggie buses; students will eat lunch in the MSC cafeteria)
Friday, May 3rd – BGCC Preschool Graduation (Whales, Dolphins, Seahorses, and Seals, where applicable), 7:30-9:00pm, Robert Gates Ballroom, MSC 2400 (For Whale, Dolphin and Seahorse students participating in graduation ceremonies) Students will need to be dropped off in the MSC no later than 7:15pm to MSC 2401. Refreshments will be served afterwards.)
Monday, May 13th – Morning with Mom, Multipurpose Room, 7:30am – 9:30am (Continental breakfast with mom and activities in the classroom)
Monday, May 27th – Center closed for Memorial Day holiday
Monday, June 17th – Donuts with Dad, Multipurpose Room, 7:30am – 9:30am (Continental breakfast with dad and activities in the classroom)
Wednesday, July 3rd – Center-wide July 4th parade/lunch with parents (Parents encouraged to attend and line the parade route, then have lunch in the classroom.)
Thursday, July 4th – Center closed for Independence Day holiday
Friday, August 23rd – Center closed for teacher preparation of classrooms/professional development
Monday, August 26th – Official start of the Center’s new school year
Tuesday, August 27th – Meet the Teacher Night, 5:30pm (Parents officially learn about what their child will be learning.)
Thursday, October 3rd – Center Early Dismissal, 12:30pm, Teachers leave for the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children conference (TAEYC), San Antonio
Friday, October 4th – Center closed for teacher conference attendance/professional development
