Hiring Information

Texas A&M Children's Center is an affiliate of Texas A&M University.  Therefore, all employment issues are handled by the Texas A&M University Human Resources Department.  For further information or questions, you can contact Di Fontenot at (979) 458-5437, or contact the TAMU Human Resources Department .

Full-time employees, whether salaried or hourly, are eligible for vacation leave, sick leave, paid holidays, emergency leave, insurance, and retirement benefits.  Part-time employees may be eligible for some or all of the above, depending on the position and the number of hours worked.

Texas A&M Children's Center is certified by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.  They require certified childcare facilities to meet the following criteria:

  1. All personnel must undergo a criminal history check.  Applicants with a felony history will NOT be considered for employment.
     
  2. All personnel must undergo an annual TB test (skin test for tuberculosis). 
     
  3. All personnel must be trained in infant and child CPR and First Aid and the training must be updated yearly.
     
  4. All full time personnel must have the Hepatitis B vaccine.
